Sensational Van Leeuwen ice cream will be coming to Singapore in early Aug 2023 at Orchard Central! They are renowned for their all-natural cups of French ice cream made with twice the regular amount of egg yolks as well as their traditional vegan ice cream.
Hailing from Brooklyn, NYC, Van Leeuwen has grown immensely from its humble beginnings as an ice cream truck back in 2008. Now, they have over 50 scoop stores across America!
They use whole, natural ingredients that are meticulously sourced and use no artificial stabilisers, thickeners, or emulsifiers to create ice cream. This gives their products an enhanced texture and mouthfeel.
Van Leeuwen was founded by brothers Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen, and Ben’s former partner, Laura O’Neill. Cofounder Ben’s plan to “start an ice cream truck that sells good ice cream” propelled the business forward, and they’ve grown at exponential speed.

We can look forward to French ice cream and vegan renditions with familiar flavours like Sicilian Pistachio, Earl Grey Tea and Mint Chip. I love pistachio, so you can bet I’ll be running over the moment they open. Gear up for all-American favourites, too: flavours like Honeycomb, Marionberry Cheesecake and Praline Butter Cake are sure to tickle your taste buds.
The store at Orchard Central will mark Van Leeuwen’s debut on the international stage and it is set to have both a dining area as well as pints to-go. With their menu yet to be announced, there is much to anticipate as their stores in the U.S. have ice cream sandwiches, too!
