6. Las Palmas (Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena)

It doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom once the sun goes down— one of the newest entries on our rooftop bars list is also one of the most colourful! The newly-refurbished Las Palmas at Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena sports a sorbet palette that injects vibrant colour into Singapore’s equally vibrant drinking scene.
Popping very obviously with the verve and fun that hints at its inspiration from the joy and optimism of the 1960s, this 33rd-storey drinking hole is the epitome of balanced fusion. Its Americana, Mexican and Southern Californian menu has been given a decidedly Asian twist to be enjoyed poolside with panoramic cityscape views.

Make the most of that electrifying poolside energy with a Cabana Package. You and your friends get 3 consecutive hours of cabana rental with a minimum spend of S$150.
At sunset, watch the skies mirror the rose quartz bar counter that runs from the patio to the chic space indoors, where pastel terrazzo finishings draw the eye to iconic photographs by Slim Aarons.

Just as Las Palmas rethinks how a rooftop bar in Singapore should look, its cocktail menu reimagines how the classics should taste. Cosmopolitans undergo a refresh where in-house raspberry syrup replaces the usual cranberry to create Not-A-Poppy (S$25). Is that a fly in your drink? No, it’s toasted sesame seeds for a dose of unexpected crunch.
Another is Nighthawk (S$25), a reference to the acute 1942 Edward Hopper painting Nighthawks. It’s listed— very appropriately— under the ‘Strong & Brooding’ section, considering the ingredients are Rye Whiskey, Italian Rosso Vermouth, Pastis, Strawberry, Root Beer Reduction, Chilli and Bitters.
A worthy inclusion in the ‘Sweet & Supple’ section is Cheesecake Factory (S$25), where Vanilla Vodka, Limoncello, Mascarpone, Citrus and Blueberry do a happy dance upon meeting each other.

Meanwhile, it’s rewards galore for Marriott Bonvoy members, who will enjoy double points when they visit from now through Jan 2023.
