Wilmar is best known for their business activities in oil palm cultivation, flour and sugar milling as well as food park operations and manufacturing ready-to-eat meals. Located in the Wilmar International Limited Headquarters at Biopolis Road, the WHQ Staff Canteen on Level 4 has been making headlines for its affordable lunch options. Specifically the S$7 cai fan (economy rice)-style buffet, which consists of 8 different selections of ingredients, including 2 carb options of white or brown rice. The remaining options vary from fried chicken to steamed egg and vegetables.
While you can only visit the buffet counter once per order, there’s no limit to how much food you fill your plate with. After paying at the self-service kiosk, grab a plate and stack as much as you like and your lunch is set! Each order also includes a bowl of complimentary soup.
Don’t worry about wasting leftovers– Wilmar’s cai fan buffet customers can even bring containers to dabao whatever they can’t finish during their meal. Furthermore, the S$7 includes GST. You don’t see that every day at your usual atas buffet restaurants!
While Wilmar’s cai fan buffet lunch is a service mainly for the staff, visitors are welcome too. The cafeteria is air-conditioned and sports a pleasant view of the scenery outside through the tall glass windows.
