“One shot, endless possibilities”

I was recently invited to the launch of ZAVVA shots at The Refinery, which presents a whimsical event with multiple possibilities just like Zavva’s slogan.

So what are ZAVVA shots? ZAVVA shots are produced in Australia, while the company is branded in Hong Kong, now entering the Singapore market with its 30ml alcoholic shot bottles.

The twisted glass of each shot allows for 2 separate flavours to be held within one compact container, making it easy to consume just about anywhere. Beware though, with the new public consumption of alcohol prohibition bill passed you just might have to be a bit more discrete chugging ZAVVA shots.

Even though there are way more ZAVVA shot flavours in Hong Kong, we’ll only get to see 3 flavours locally as the initial foray into the Singapore market. Being the alcohol afficionado, I had to try each shot individually.

Black Pearl. Coffee Liqueur and Vanilla Cream Liqueur. Much like a Kahlua/Baileys mix, this was probably the crowd favorite.

zavva shot singapore Love Me Lychee

Love Me Lychee. Lychee Liqueur and Lychee Vodka. Sweet and tropical, this will probably sit well with the ladies.

zavva shot singapore China White

China White. Butterscotch Liqeuer and Velvet Cream Liqueur. A bit on the sweet side, but makes an excellent cocktail.

There are multiple ways to enjoy ZAVVA as well, and you can mix it with sauces, jellies and any other method your drunk mind can conceive. I think fine, shaved ice would have been a better option rather than ice cubes I was given, which can make an alcoholic Ice Kachang.

But of course, ZAVVA is probably best made into a cocktail for its ready flavoured liqueur all packed in – it’s that much easier to mix. Using the China White shot, you can make a sort of Brandy Alexander cocktail variation with the addition of Cognac.

Gabriella Zavatti (2nd from the right), the founder and CEO of ZAVVA Concepts along with other beautiful ladies who enjoy ZAVVA shots. I’d sneak in as well, but who would operate the camera eh.

ZAVVA bridges the gap between buying an expensive shot at a bar and the hassle of making one yourself at home. Something innovative to check out at 7-11 in the future, ZAVVA adds some spice to whichever party you’re going to.

ZAVVA shots retails in 7-11 stores all over the sunny island at $5 a pop.
