From 22 Nov, groups of five fully vaxxed persons can dine-in regardless of household

At long last. The Multi-Ministry Taskforce has announced the further lifting of dining restrictions on 20 November 2021—the maximum group size for social gatherings and dining-in at F&B establishments has increased from two to groups of five fully vaxxed persons, regardless of household, from 22 November onwards.

groups of five can dine in together

Prior to this, five fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to dine-in at F&B establishments together, provided they are from the same household. The Multi-Ministry Taskforce stated that the overall infection numbers have largely stabilised and seen improvements. Additionally, a significant number of the population have had or will be receiving their COVID-19 vaccination boosters.

The easing of restrictions means that now each households can receive up to five distinct visitors. It is strongly advised that households accept only fully vaxxed individuals, wherever possible.

Groups of five can now dine-in at F&B establishments, even if they are not from the same household. This regulation applies only fully vaccinated individuals. Unvaccinated children below the age of 12 can be included in this group of five, as long as they are from the same household.

Persons who are medically ineligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination can also be included within these groups from 1 December onwards.

Do note that groups of five can only dine-in together at hawker centres and coffee shops that have implemented full Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures. The first round of checks will be conducted from 23 November 2021 onward, with more progressively moving in the same direction when the measures are in place.

Groups of five will not be allowed to dine in at hawker centres and coffee shops if they have not implemented full Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures

Dining restrictions remain the same for unvaccinated individuals—they will not be permitted to dine-in at any hawker centre or coffee shop. They will only be allowed to take-away food from these establishments.
