It’s time for your usual scheduled programming: Ariel Talks About Desserts. Today’s newly opened cafe’s called 99 Coffee & Gelato, located at Kitchener Complex. Opened by the folks behind The Glasshouse and XM Studios, this place has the two cure-alls for a bad day: caffeine, and ice cream.
They’ve got a range of Classic Flavours (S$6+) here at 99 Coffee & Gelato– Espresso, for all my fellow caffeine addicts, along with summery flavours such as Mango Tajin, Coconut Pineapple, and Tahitian Vanilla. I’m most intrigued by their Tomato Strawberry combination; it sounds pretty wacky, but hey, I would be 100% down to try it.
If you’re planning to go all out and ride that sugar rush, then opt for their Premium Flavours (S$7+). They’ve got Baileys and Cacao Nibs, EVOO & Strawberry, Caramelised Sicilian Pistachio, and more. Trust me, everything sounds better than the last.
99 Coffee and Gelato also has Exclusive Flavours (S$8+), which means that you’ve definitely gotta plan a revisit if you’re going to give them all a shot. The Whisky & Sea Salt flavour is definitely unorthodox, but hey, if it works, it works. I’m personally going to opt for the Dulcey Chocolate, though the Sorrel flavour will be one I wouldn’t mind going back for. The Exclusive Flavours even come with toppings such as yuzu jelly.
If you’re planning a ‘treat yourself’ day, doesn’t 99 Coffee & Gelato sound like the best place to do so? Grab some friends, settle in comfortably on their plush seats with a cone topped with creamy gelato, and indulge in an afternoon of sweet treats.
