If there’s one thing I love other than delicious food, that’s dogs — fluffy puppers with tiny paws; how could you possibly resist them? That’s why I was so excited to finally visit Menage Cafe at Sin Ming Plaza, a pet-friendly establishment.

Menage Cafe 03836

Not only can you bring your dog here for a meal with a specially created menu just for your pup, it also dishes out yummy Western cafe fare for us humans, such as Beer Battered Fish & Chips (S$19.90) and Duck Confit (S$23.90).

When we walked into the Menage Cafe, we were immediately struck by how clean and spacious it was. Full-length glass panels lined the side, and its large ceiling dome covered over half the cafe.

There were also dog-friendly amenities, such as water bowls and pee mops at the ready. It certainly seems like the perfect place to chill with your furkid.

To start off our meal, we got the Chicken Wings (S$10). It’s comprised of gloriously fried chicken wings, a pile of crispy nachos, house salad, and 3 dips: cheese, sweet chilli, and lemon mayonnaise.

Though the wings were pretty average and could’ve used a little more seasoning, I really enjoyed the lemon mayonnaise dip. It was tangy and light, and balanced out the oiliness from the chicken wings.

Seated on a bed of silky mashed potatoes, roasted cauliflower, sauteed asparagus, and pommes puree, the Pan Seared Salmon (S$20.90) was well-seasoned and delicious.

The salmon’s pink flesh was soft and fell apart easily, while its skin was crispy and salty. It went hand-in-hand with the sweetness of the mashed potatoes and the zesty kick from the pommes puree.

For dessert, we went with the Ice Cream Waffle (S$12.90). Freshly made and topped with 2 scoops of ice cream of our choice, the waffle looked gorgeous with its little heart-shaped sprinkles and powdered sugar frosting, and warm and crunchy when we dug in.

Pairing warm waffles with ice cream is always a classic combination, and it was the perfect way to end a meal, especially with that generous amount of chocolate syrup drizzled on top.

Before you leave, don’t forget to snap a picture of your pooch (or yourself) on the cafe’s iconic hanging nest chair.

I will be back again with my furkid, and hopefully, the Chicken Wings would fare better then. Otherwise, dining at Menage Cafe is an absolute delight for dog owners and dog lovers alike.

For dog owners, you can indulge in scrumptious and affordable Western fare while knowing that your pooch is having fun in a safe and clean environment. And for dog lovers, being able to pet and interact with furry dogs while enjoying a delicious meal with close friends is always a perk.

Expected Damage: S$20 – S$35 per pax
