More animal parallels are being drawn in the eating world. Hidden in a simple brewery in Itabashi, Tokyo, Tokyo Aleroom Tapworks concocted their very own “Krabby Patty”.
It is an actual burger, save your buns. Instead, they’re replaced with soft shell crabs. In-store, it’s simply known as the Kani Burger.
Although Tokyo Aleroom Tapworks is better known for their craft taps, it’s a creative move on their part to supplement the drinks with a side.
Head down if you’re up for this on your plate, because their Kani Burger is in limited quantities only. Their burgers are on rotation so you might have to wait if you miss out this time.
Soft shell crabs already pack a crispy crunch, coupling that with a juicy crab patty and fresh vegetables, it’s pretty much a candid take on “Krabby Patty”. Triple the crab, double the crunch, all in one burger.
