We’re only two months away from 2021, and what a year it’s been! That’s why we don’t want you entering the new year still using unfavourable food vocabulary; in Episode 14 of ‘Tapau Please’ by SethLui.com, Zat & Wani attempt to pick out the most commonly used food terminology that they believe needs to be retired.
There’s the good ol’ gao and jelak, if you’re accustomed to local slang, which sound like nails on a chalkboard for these two editors. There’s also ‘not too sweet’, which really exudes a sense of laziness and can be better expressed when wanting to relay a dessert that’s only mildly saccharine (see what we did there?).
