When it comes to themed pop-up collaborations, we know we can always count on Kumoya Singapore to bring us the cutest installations. Though their current Gudetama X Bad Badtz-Maru Pop-up Cafe is coming to an end, fans can now look forward to their upcoming Orchid Starry Dreamz Pop-up Cafe featuring our favourite Sanrio Little Twin Stars, Kiki and Lala.
From 19 November 2020 to February 2021, head to Kumoya at Jalan Klapa to be instantly transported to the Land of Stars—Kiki and Lala’s magical birthplace amongst the clouds.
Bedazzled in pastel shades of pink, purple and blue with adorable images across the entire cafe, you’ll practically be dining on cloud nine savouring delectable creations curated by the chefs of Kumoya along with Little Miss Bento, Shirley Wong.
Start your day energised at Orchid Starry Dreamz Pop-up Cafe with Little Twin Stars Magic Starry Breakfast (S$26.90), a hearty western option featuring two pieces of coloured toast with butter moulded into the shape of Kiki and Lala’s faces. Served on the side is a portion of crescent-shaped scrambled eggs, bacon and sautéed mushrooms, perfect complements for a wholesome meal.
For that classic Japanese twist, Orchid Starry Dreamz Pop-up Cafe also serves up the Little Twin Star Double-Double Sliders (S$26.90). Sandwiched in blue and pink burger buns, these mini sliders envelope a salmon katsu patty that is crunchy outside yet tender inside. Even better, they are topped with the creamy goodness of tobiko mayonnaise—yum!
Of course, desserts should not be left out, especially here at Orchid Starry Dreamz Pop-up Cafe. For a taste of the Land of Stars, Moonlight Dreamz Parfait (S$19.90) is a must-try. An entire dessert buffet on its own, this celestial-looking mix consists of Hokkaido soft-serve, a cupcake, butter cookies, meringue clouds and cotton candy. Yes, this is surely the taste of sugar heaven.
For some DIY action, order the Magic Starz Galaxy Cake (S$21.90). Feel free to get creative with this dessert by exploring different ways to glaze and decorate your strawberry mousse cake before devouring it together with the soft-serve ice cream on the side.
Just like their previous pop-ups, dining time may be limited to 90 minutes and there will be a minimum order of one food or drink item per person.
