Another day, another cafe opening. ‘No’, you so dramatically decry, ‘I can’t take another cafe opening, don’t we already have enough?’. The correct answer is, no we will never get enough of the minimalistic industrial-chic aesthetic. Or any kind of cafe for that matter. Which is why I’m especially excited to see The Ritual dipping their toes into the cafe scene.

I mean, you have to admire just how pretty The Ritual is, with soft ambient lamps, photogenic house plants and a whole host of artisanal bakes. Plus, The Ritual is located in the lovely neighbourhood of Bukit Timah, where other highly coveted cafes abound.

It’s not a cafe unless they offer brunch and The Ritual offers the works. We have the classic The Ritual Big Breakfast (S$25) that come with the usual eggs, sausage, bacon and sourdough or croissant. If not, the trusty Signature Avo Toast (S$18) is sure to hit the spot. Do note that these brunch items are only available from 8 am to 5 pm.

Of course, The Ritual caters to our sweet tooth as well. With fluffy Belgium Chocolate & Berries Waffles ($15) or the ever-indulgent Banana Split (S$13) — you’ll be spoilt for choice.

For the health-conscious, I do think a Ritual Acai Bowl (S$17) would definitely let you glow from inside out. Moreover, the Ritual is still in their soft launch stage, so this is their preview menu for those who are bored with their usual cafe haunts. However, if you do find yourself at The Ritual in the evening, you can try your hand at their Mid Wings (Buffalo/ Honey) (S$13) or the ever moreish Guacamole Ikura Cracker (S$13).

The Ritual will be launching officially on 3 December 2020. So, do keep your eyes peeled because I do think this is clearly the place to be on a Sunday afternoon.
