The F&B industry might be a tiring one, but to many who have worked in this trade, it is often in such environments that friendship and camaraderie are born. Brought to us by a group of young foodpreneurs made up of the ex-staff from The Black Hole Group, Comme Me Das is a new Muslim-owned cafe located in Jurong East serving up affordable plates of western delights all under S$16

Just like its name suggests, Comme Me Das aims to serve diners a range of ‘food with benefits’. Homely and comfortable dining experience aside, expect your meal at Comme Me Das to be hearty and nutrient-filled.

Start your meal with bursts of aromatic flavours from the Sautéed Truffle Mushroom (S$6). Made using a trio of mushrooms—shiitake, shimeji and white button mushroom—this appetiser will delight with its complex flavours and beautiful velvety texture.

Love your classic pasta? Then Comme Me Das’s Beef Meatball Bolognese (S$12) is the one you should not miss. Here, seasoned beef meatballs are cooked in a tomato-based herb pasta sauce garnished with grated parmesan cheese.

Every bite will be filled with rich meaty flavours balanced by subtle acidity from fresh tomatoes. This plate of Beef Meatball Bolognese is just the kind of comfort food everyone craves once in a while.

If you are looking for something more adventurous other than your regular Fish & Chips (S$12), the Grilled Frango (S$12) might tickle your fancy. This Portugal-inspired dish features a fragrant piece of marinated Portuguese-spiced chicken served over tomato herb rice.

It also comes with a side of sautéed mushrooms and cream spinach to complete your meal with all the components necessary for a healthy and nutritious meal.

Even if it’s just for a mid-day snack, feel free to pop by Comme Me Das for their amazing tarts and sweet treats. Supplied by MIXNCO, the desserts served here are so elegantly decorated, you might not be able to bear biting into them.

Whether its a rich and decadent Salty Caramella (S$10.90) or a fruity and tropical Malibu Boy (S$9.90), you will surely be able to find a flavour to your liking here at Comme Me Das.
