As a dessert person, there is no better news for this sweet tooth than the fact that Tarte by Cheryl Koh has opened their second outlet. The news is only made more joyous by the fact that it’s conveniently located at Raffles City.

Like their stylish and sophisticated tarts, the outlet has an open-style concept with wooden floors and shelving with a marbled vitrine with timber details. If that doesn’t scream French patisserie, I don’t know what will.

For those wondering why I’m so excited for a bunch of tarts, ever since Tarte by Cheryl Koh opened their doors in 2015, we were all entirely entranced by the exquisite tarts. After all, the technicality and skill that goes into each tart is a marvel on its own.

Look forward to crowd favourites, including the Dark Chocolate Tart which uses Cacao Barrys Mexique66% dark chocolate.  It’s a delectable treat to reward yourself after a long work week. If not, the classic Apple Tart made with Canadian Apple compote and slices of Golden Delicious bring just the right amount of tart and sweetness.

If these are not feeling like your kind of tart, then other seasonal favourites such as the Clementine, Pear Bourdaloue as well as Tasmanian Cherries should satisfy. The tarts will be available in 8cm and 16cm (for selected flavours only), retailing from S$8 to S$13 for 8cm, and S$32 to S$52 for 16cm. You can find out more about the individual prices of each tart here.

I’m quite the sucker for anything exclusive, and at Tarte by Cheryl Koh’s new outlet, the Pine Nut Paris Brest ($11 for 8cm) is an outlet-exclusive flavour that can be purchased only at Raffles City Singapore. Using premium Gapyeong Pine Nuts, the ring-shaped choux pastry will be filled with praline flavoured cream and topped with pieces of pine nuts.

Whether you are a dessert person or not, you’ll have to try one of these tarts at Tarte by Cheryl Koh before you knock it. To make this a French affair, have a couple of crepes before you sink your teeth into these tarts.
