Since its opening in Yishun in September, Chef Kin HK Wanton Noodle has drawn intimidating crowds and snaking queues, sometimes lasting up to 90 minutes. The former executive chef of Crystal Jade Culinary Concept Holdings for 18 years is now expanding his humble wanton mee stall to include two new outlets.

Now there’s no need to travel all the way down Yishun for your little taste of authentic Hong Kong-style wanton mee any more; Chef Kin HK Wanton Noodle will soon be ready to satiate your cravings at their new outlets in New Upper Changi Road in Bedok, and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4.

The New Upper Changi Road outlet will open on 26 November 2021, while the Ang Mo Kio outlet will be up and ready for business come 14 December 2021.

Chef Kin had set the goal of selling 1,000 bowls in a single day and achieved that herculean feat in a mere nine days after he set up shop.

If you’re looking forward to paying a visit now that the queues have died down slightly and the location is more convenient, the HK Wanton Noodle (S$5) and HK Dumpling Noodle (S$5) will tick all the boxes for a comforting, nostalgic meal.

Make sure not to miss out on the Beef Brisket Noodle (Dry) (S$5.50), especially if you’re on team dry noodles forever like I am. The beef brisket has just the right amount of fat, marinade, and tenderness, promising you a satisfying and affordable pit-stop at Chef Kin HK Wanton Noodle for lunch. The wantons and dumplings are also available as side dishes in a bowl of soup or as a deep-fried snack to tapau home, for those who just can’t get enough.
