Mr Mookata has been plastered all over the news the past week for their innovative marketing stunt—shirtless waiters. However, the cops were called in after several reports, one of them on the grounds of being mistaken for naked exhibitionists.
How they got mistaken for being naked or whether the report was done out of sheer jealousy, will always be a mystery. However, cops or not, it surely hasn’t deterred the folks at Mr Mookata to bring forth a second round of their ‘shirtless servers’ saga on 15 January 2022 in collaboration with Asia Farm Beverages.
The semi-naked muscular men will be dispensing free-flow beverages to buffet diners, with an addition of an individual drink to à la carte diners. The purpose of the event is to promote Asia Farm Beverage’s healthy, low-sugar drinks, over a mookata meal to get you feeling energised. Head on over between 6.30pm and 9.30pm for a quick feast for the eyes before indulging in your Buffet (S$29.90 per pax).
I’m not one for sexually objectifying anyone before my meal, in addition to the concern of hygiene issues when one is semi-naked or naked; if you’re into this sort of stuff, throw caution to the wind and proceed with the ogling. As long as you respect their boundaries, that is.
Undoubtedly, I can see how the lines got blurred by the masses regarding the absurd police reports that were filed but here’s a thing to note, however prudish you may be, sex always sells at the end of the day.
