You might’ve heard of, or even visited MILK back in Arab Street. The shop closed recently, and reopened after a huge makeover— an upgraded look, spanking new menu, and even a new mascot.

Their overhaul now spotlights a Build Your Own MILK Wall, where my fellow bubble tea enthusiasts can mix and match different ingredients for an ultimate, elite-tier cup of BBT. All you need to do is pick a pail, go to town at the Build Your Own MILK Wall, and your drink will come to life just like that.

All guests will be spoilt for choice, and that’s a promise. Pick from options such as Hazelnut, Taro, or Ovaltine if you’re opting for a cup of MILK Tea (S$4.50). If you’re going for the MILK (S$4.50) instead, they’ve got options ranging from Strawberry, Grape, Mango, Brown Sugar, and more.

If you drink your bubble tea without toppings, did you really drink bubble tea? Opt for a topping to seal the deal for an additional S$1. They’ve got Pearls if you’re sticking to the classic Milk Tea and Pearls combination, but you can also spice it up with Ice Cream, Nata De Coco, Jelly, and more. Go all out with your creativity; you deserve this treat!

MILK also has their lineup of signature flavours for you to choose from if you want a combination that’s guaranteed to work—the Chendol Royale (S$6.80) is my personal pick; what can go wrong about dessert in drink form?

They’ve also got a Matcha Mascarpone (S$6.80) that’s in a pretty sage colour, featuring an unorthodox combination of earthy matcha mixed with savoury mascarpone cheese. Speaking of cheese, the folks at MILK also have a Grape Cream Cheese (S$6), where cream cheese is blended together with sweet grapes.

If you’ve been toying with the idea of treating yourself to something good as a reward  for getting through the whole of January, consider this a sign— go forth (to MILK), and conquer.
