New in town: Tres Sombreros — A vibrant Mexican feast with platters, tacos & cocktails in Siglap

Residents of Siglap, I bring you good news! Mexican restaurant Tres Sombreros has just launched on 18 Oct 2022 at 77 Upper East Coast Road. Tres Sombreros will serve vibrant and fresh Mexican breakfast and dinner, as well as Mexican coffee and cocktails.

For appetisers, your much beloved Nachos (S$14) is available with crispy yellow corn chips, cheese, black olives, jalapeno, sour cream, tomatoes, guacamole and salsa. It also has Elotes (S$7), a classic Mexican street food comprising barbecued corn with chipotle mayo, feta cheese and a Mexican spice blend.

If you’re with company, why not upgrade your nachos to the Ultimate Nachos (S$25)? This includes protein such as lamb or beef to give your nachos an extra bite.

Platters are also available to share (or to film a mukbang video) and one of the options is the Amigos Platter (S$55), which has six tacos, one quesadilla, Pico De Gallo, jalapeno, corn, lime and a choice of two dips from cheese sauce, sour cream, salsa sauce and chipotle sauce.

Speaking of tacos, Tres Sombreros has an assortment of tacos options that comes in sets of two or three.

These options include Birria Quesa Tacos (S$16/S$22), Polla Asado (S$13/S$18), Grilled Fish (S$15/S$20), Spicy Chipotle Shrimp (S$13/S$18), Carnitas (S$15/S$20) and even vegetarian ones such as Roasted Cauliflower (S$13/S$18) and Impossible (S$18).

Uniquely, they also serve Mexican-themed breakfasts such as Gringo Breakfast (S$22) with a choice of how you want your eggs cooked, pork bratwurst sausage, bacon, sauteed mushrooms, mixed greens, Pico De Gallo, guacamole, corn, toast and pickled onions.

Complete your breakfast with a cup of warm Choco Mexicano (S$7.50) or something stronger for dinner such as the Tequila Sunrise (S$12).
