Can’t decide between cheese baked rice and nasi goreng? Located at Cantine Corner by Kopitiam, a halal-certified food court serving a selection of Singaporean, Asian and Western cuisine and street food is Jom Makan, a newly-opened stall which promises mouth-watering halal Chinese and Malay cuisine.

Diners can opt from Jom Makan’s à la carte menu or one of their many one-plate dishes. Tuck into a plate of Seafood Hor Fun with Egg Gravy for as low as S$5.50 or their luscious Sweet and Sour Chicken Rice (S$6.50). The dishes come in 2 sizes, small and medium. Otherwise, you can try their cheese baked rice which comes in 3 types: Cheese Baked Rice (S$10.90), Portuguese Cheese Baked Rice (S$10.90) and Pumpkin Cheese Baked Rice (S$10.90).

If you’re craving for Malay food, you will be pleased to find favourites like Masak Merah Rice (S$6.50), Nasi Goreng Ayam Kunyit (S$8) and Paprik Beef with Rice (S$7). Don’t miss out on their seafood dishes, prepared with only the freshest of ingredients such as Curry Fish Head (S$28), Cereal Prawns (S$18.80) and the Cheese Baked Big Prawns (S$21.80).

Jom Makan’s must-try dish is their Charcoal Fish Head Steamboat (from S$35). Simmered over charcoal fire for that added smokiness, it is completed with fresh fish slices and vegetables. You’ll be asking for refills for sure.
