Looking for another place to get some good ol’ comfort food in Jalan Besar? Chiko Pollo, run by the founders of famous dessert place Lola Faye, has just started their soft launch on 15 Apr 2023, which will be happening all the way till 15 May 2023.

Little India is a prime spot for some fantastic food like Pancake and Waffle Place and Tekka Centre, the latter of which is currently under renovation, so it is a blessing that a nice place serving Western food has arrived.

Chiko Pollo is guilty for offering addictive food. It is not difficult to see why, considering their mouth watering treats! Personally, I am eyeing their XL Salted Egg Sotong (S$24); just imagining that crispy squid lathered in salted egg sauce makes my mouth water.

For our Muslim friends, Chiko Pollo is Muslim-owned and uses all halal ingredients, so there won’t be a need to FOMO (fear of missing out) here!

The restaurant is not short of many intriguing dishes that are bound to invite some curiosity. Smoked Duck Brown Butter Pasta (S$22) and Cheesy Mentaiko Baked Mussels (S$14) are sure to curb some peculiar cravings.

For those who want some authentic local flavours, fear not! There are local fusions like Salted Egg Soft Shell Crab & Mantao (S$17) and Seafood Lemak Chilli Api Pasta (S$22). The pasta is sure to bring some heat to all the spice lovers.

Chiko Pollo also offers some Western classics, such as Classic Cheeseburger (S$22) and Cheesy Chicken Cutlet with Mushroom Sauce (S$21). The portion sizes are on the bigger side too, so bringing a couple mouths are mandatory to try more dishes.

Not to mention, during Chiko Pollo’s soft launch period, there will be a 20% discount off their entire menu! There will also be Lola Faye cafe vouchers to receive during your dine-in with them— isn’t that a sweet deal?
