Business is currently looking gloomy for Coffee & Tea coffeeshop located at 78A Telok Blangah. As a way to draw in the crowd and help the struggling stall owners, Mr. Dominic Neo of Liang Ji rallied his fellow neighbouring tenants to offer S$2 budget meals for their customers (starting 27 Apr 2023).

On a side note, the Singapore government has announced that by 2026, coffee shops let out by the HDB will be required to sell budget meals to keep food affordable in the heartlands.

Liang Ji will be offering its customers a choice of either the Black Carrot Cake or White Carrot Cake for just S$2.

Next-door neighbour, JK Western will be selling Crispy Chicken/Fish/Pork with Rice for S$2 too. The dish also comes with a side salad.

Safa Indian Food has an array of crowd-favourite Indian foods like Mutton Nasi Goreng, Maggi Goreng and Chicken Murtabak.

From 6.30am to 10.30am daily, the stall will be selling 2 pieces of Roti Prata for just S$1.60.

Se Xiang Wei Niang Dou Fu (色香味酿豆腐) opens at 5am and mostly serves the breakfast crowd its yam cake, chee cheong fun and various yong tau foo options.

As part of the budget meals, they will be offering the Century Egg Lean Meat Porridge for S$2.

Yong Ji Mixed Veg Rice is your quintessential economical rice stall. They will be offering any choice of noodles with 2 selections of vegetables at just S$2.

Wang Cai (旺财)sells Ipoh curry noodle, chicken curry noodle and Penang prawn noodles. The Shredded Chicken Hor Fun will be sold daily at S$2 from 7am till sold out.

The drinks vendor will also be selling all hot drinks like Kopi and Teh-O for S$1.
