Bai Nian Niang Dou Fu has opened its 7th outlet in Bedok Interchange. Head down from 24 to 26 May 2023 to enjoy their opening promotion — a Yong Tau Foo Set for S$2 only! Do note that this promotion is only valid for dine-in purchases.

Lay down deep fried vegetables stuffed with meat paste. Pile up a couple of chicken wings and bee hoon before pouring piping hot anchovy broth over them. This makes one of my favourite comfort foods for sure.

This yong tau foo rendition may sound new to those unfamiliar with the backstory of the brand. Bai Nian Niang Dou Fu is probably the first place in Singapore to offer bite-sized Hakka yong tau foo ingredients.

The idea came about during a rocky time when the boss craved a variety of bite-sized and tender meat-stuffed tofu.

The new outlet sprouted after 4 years of the business expansion halt. Luckily for Easties, this will be their second outlet to grab a serving of their Yong Tau Foo Set (S$7.90). The set consists of a portion of their famed Yong Tau Foo with some of their side dishes — including the Chicken Wing and Golden Roll.

Orchard Yong Tau Fu: Delicious yong tau foo with tasty, zero-MSG soup, hidden in Somerset

With every bowl served, clear soup — free of MSG — is doused over the ingredients, adding a savoury flavour to the noodle dish.

If you miss the promotion, the Chicken Wing Set (S$5) and Golden Roll (S$5.90) are available on a daily basis. The former is especially popular for its super crispy skin over tender meat.

Some may already know that  this brand operates under the same company that runs Nic & Tom and Shi Nian Pig Leg Rice. The latter has received overwhelming attention for their move of giving out free pork leg rice bowls as their opening specials.

Well, the attention received comes with no surprise. After all, who isn’t willing to queue up for super affordable lunch sets? Head down quickly to avoid the long line that is surely coming!

[CLOSED] Tofully: Freshly-made yong tau foo with 4 broths that will soothe your soupy cravings in Bedok
