When it comes to mala, no one knows it better than Malaysians. Even the toughest warriors will find themselves in tears when they encounter a particularly spicy mala. Unfortunately, when it comes to mala, our Muslim brothers and sisters may find it difficult to find Muslim-owned halal mala spots that serve authentic, spicy mala.

Well, fret not, as Ma Jinglong Spicy Hot Pot located at Jalan Sultan is here to provide you with delicious mala you can consume with a peace of mind! The owner, a Muslim man hailing from Northwest China, has been a Malaysian resident for the past 15 years. (And even speaks fluent Malay!). Several Muslim customers who visited the establishment even vouched for the halal mala, both for its taste and its halal status.

Similar to regular mala restaurants, you get to pick your favourite ingredients and the dedicated chefs will prepare the dishes based on their 3 signature cooking styles. You get to choose either Mala Hotpot, Dry Mala or Tomato Soup (for the spice challenged ones.) The ingredients go from your proteins of beef, lamb, seafood or chicken all the way to vegetables and meat balls.
