As someone who lives in the Marine Parade area, I am constantly exploring the array of fantastic grub in the area. Now, with the new addition of Parkway Parade‘s new F&B corner, there’s bound to be excitement.

Locals may know that the space beside Scoop Wholefoods had been hidden away behind a construction wall for a good while. As of Jul 2023, the walls have gone down to reveal a new space designed for F&B outlets. With some shops open and others not ready, I can definitely see this part of Parkway being my go-to very soon.

Parkway Parade New Corner — KOI THE 6

Of course, popular drink chains like KOI THÉ and Dal.Komm Coffee are available. Although Dal.Komm Coffee has not opened just yet, KOI has already started operations when I headed down on Tue, 4 Jul. Perhaps you might want to try out their Peanut Butter series that just launched.

Works completed for renovated People’s Park Food Centre — what’s changed?

Parkway Parade New Corner — Dal.Komm Coffee

What I am excited for has to be Dal.Komm Coffee, as there is quite a large seating area already prepared. With coffee and bingsu up for grabs, this is bound to be a hot spot for the workaholics when it finally opens in Parkway Parade. They even have fruity lattes like Strawberry Cube and Sweet Potato Mixtur.

Parkway Parade New Corner — Pepper Lunch

Food-wise, it seems that Pepper Lunch has undergone quite an expansion, now occupying a full space rather than an outlet in the Food Republic at Parkway Parade’s basement. Despite having just opened, it already had a long queue of customers.

Parkway Parade New Corner — Tagosaku and Saboten Diner

An intriguing addition has to be Tagosaku + Saboten Deli. Sharing the same space, it seemed that the 2 chains have collaborated to make up an eatery. Saboten offers katsu sets perfect for a quick meal, with Tenderloin Katsu Set (S$20.50) and Saboten Special Set (S$23.50) as their recommended items.

Tagosaku offers the rarely-spotted Japanese Okowa, which is essentially Japanese steamed glutinous rice prepared with a mixture of meat or assorted vegetables. Just the smell was enough to catch my attention, and succeeded in getting me to buy a set to bring home. For those not hungry enough for the 3 set meals available, the store also offers mini Inari Okowa in various types.

GO Noodle House

The list continues, with stores that have yet to open. Want Chinese cuisine? Famed Hong Kong restaurant Canton Paradise will be opening in Jul 2023.

Following the trend of Chinese options comes GO Noodle House. Popular for their Chinese roots with a tweak towards Malaysian tastes, this noodle house prides itself on having flavourful soup that has been steeped with more than 14 types of fish bones. Their most popular item is said to be the Signature Bursting Meatball Noodles (S$15), with bursting meatballs that pair perfectly with the rich umami from the broth.

Ai-Cha

There’s another bubble tea outlet opening soon, too— Indonesian brand Ai-Cha Ice Cream & Tea. They may not be a household name, considering that this is their first outlet in Singapore. With no Singapore menu up yet, folks are left to speculate on what the drink selection here will be. Personally, I hope that the newly launched Ai-Squash Haw Flakes drink will be included!

With more outlets due to open soon, it looks like the basement food court may lose its crowd. Bubbling with excitement, I’ll be sure to check in often to see more updates. Easties, stay winning.
