After the previous debacle of the GVF music festival, Malaysians were apprehensive about another music festival of scale happening in our country. The whole nation was in uproar over the state government’s strict regulations when it comes to international artists and how badly it reflects on the inflexibility of our country. While this discourse was happening, our friends from Sabah and Sarawak piped in that more concerts should be organised there. Well, apparently manifestations do work as the Borneo Sonic Music Festival will be held from 6 October 2023 to 7 October 2023 at the Stadium Sarawak.

That’s not even the most exciting part, wait until you hear the lineup! First up we got Taeyang of BIGBANG fame, CL from 2NEI, Suho from EXO AND EVEN HYO from SNSD! Had enough? Well, brace yourselves for Australian DJ and singer, Havana Brown as well as hip-hop legend, Fatman Scoop!
As far as local acts go, DOLLA, Ning Baizura, Bella Sisoski and more will be gracing their presence at the Stadium Sarawak. Touted as the Borneo’s biggest music event, an approximate 30,000 tickets will be sold to the public!
While the organisers have not announced the ticket sales to the public, it’s heavily rumoured to go on the floors 18 August 2023.
