Why choose from 3 different establishments when you can enjoy them all under 1 roof? Mr Holmes Bakehouse, Luke’s Lobster and Leckerbaer have opened a joint cafe in Mandai, right outside Bird Paradise.

Fans of the popular Mr Holmes Bakehouse can dig into their various baked treats, starting with the stuffed donuts, available in flavours like Chocolate (S$5.50), Bubbly Passionfruit (S$5.50) and Plain (S$3.80).

We tried the Mandai outlet-exclusive flavours, Fruity Pebble (S$5.50) and PB&J (S$5.50) — both of us fell in love with the latter, which had been stuffed generously with sweet, tart jam and creamy peanut butter. Every bite was pure bliss. The Fruity Pebble flavour, on the other hand, was much lighter and reminded me of bandung.

Mr Holme’s Bakehouse is well-known for being the creator of cruffins, a croissant that is shaped like a muffin. Priced at S$7 each, their sweet flavours include Lemon Meringue, Pistachio and Raspberry Cheesecake. We really liked the Cheesy Spinach Artichoke (S$7), which was stuffed full of savoury cream cheese and spinach.

For a more satisfying treat, grab Mr Holmes Bakehouse’s sandwiches, such as the Chicken Fajita (S$12), Grilled Cheese & Pesto (S$12) and Tuna Salad Sandwich (S$12). The Spam & Egg w/ Kimchi Croissant (S$12) is one of the brand’s more popular items, and is stuffed with a huge slice of spam and salty kimchi.

If you are a die-hard lobster lover, you can grab Luke’s Lobster dishes at the cafe too! The Signature Roll (S$25.50) is filled with 4oz of chilled, sustainable and wild-caught lobster, mayo, lemon butter and secret seasoning within a buttered bun. The Lobster Bisque (S$12.50) is a flavourful soup that acts as the perfect dip for whatever roll you get.

Finally, enjoy a cold treat with Leckerbaer’s outlet-exclusive Ice Cream Sandwiches (S$7) and Ice Cream Puffs (S$8.50). The Ice Cream Sandwiches are available in 7 flavours, including Oreo, Raspberry & Hibiscus, Mango and Matcha & Coconut — of the 2 flavours we had, I especially liked the tangy and strong berry taste of the Raspberry & Hibiscus variety.

The Ice Cream Puffs, on the other hand, were crispy and delicious. Choose from the flavours of Matcha, Coconut or Passion, with each scoop being topped with 2 cute butterfly cookies.

You can also get Leckerbaer’s gorgeous tarts, puffs, and classic Småkager creations within the store. How else could you cap off your day at Bird Paradise?
