No matter their pay grade, every Singaporean loves a little discount. If you eat out often because of work, it’s tough, but life throws us a bone. DBS is subsidising up to S$3 on hawker meals every Friday with DBS cashback.

It’s been an ongoing deal since early this year, in case you weren’t aware. It’s December now, but no worries, it’s not over yet. DBS will be keeping this up until 19 Jan 2024.

Don’t stop reading just yet. There are terms and conditions for this too, but I’ll try not to make it too convoluted. Again, it’s a 100% cashback up to S$3 on a hawker meal. You can do this once every Friday.

For example, if you spend S$1.50 at a drink stall, you’d get the whole S$1.50 back. If you spent S$5 at an economic rice stall, you’d get S$3 back. There’s no minimum amount you have to spend to qualify.

New in town: Toko Yakitori — 50% off skewers with chicken wing gyoza, mini oyakodon & beef curry

However, this deal only applies to the 1st 100,000 users who scan using the DBS PayLah! app to pay every Friday, starting at 6am.

You can check to see if they all have been fully redeemed for the day via a banner on the app. It will say ‘FULLY REDEEMED’ if the deal is no longer available.

You have to scan to pay via the app at any of the participating 160 islandwide hawker stalls. The subsidy amount will be sent to your PayLah! wallet on the same day. Everyone is eligible for this and all you need is a DBS PayLah! account.

DBS has been doing its part to support the Hawkers of Singapore, between their still ongoing Adopt-a-Hawker Centre programme and this cashback. Why not chip in as well, using this DBS cashback incentive?
