If you haven’t heard, Korea’s hottest annual summer festival is making waves with its debut on the sunny shores of Singapore. This festival is none other than Waterbomb Festival 2024.

The iconic festival is scheduled for 24 and 25 Aug 2024. Although further details are yet to be released, here’s what we know so far.

Organised annually since 2015, the Waterbomb Festival stems from a Korean summer tradition of playing with water to beat the heat. The Waterbomb Festival was inspired by the growing popularity of this refreshing practice, and has now evolved into a massive event filled with thrilling water-themed games and entertainment.

Furthermore, Waterbomb Festival 2024 will be hosted in our neighbouring countries — Thailand, Bangkok and Vietnam as well! Fret not, all countries will enjoy similar activities to the original festival from Korea.

The main highlight of this festival will definitely be its music and performances. From K-Hip-Hop to EDM, expect a variety of genres with stunning performances. While Seoul’s headliners include popular K-Pop superstars such as Bibi, Jay Park, Chung Ha, Zico and more, Singapore’s edition of Waterbomb Festival will feature both South Korean and local artistes.

What’s a Waterbomb Festival without being literally water bombed? Along with the burst of water cannons during performances, participants are usually drenched from water guns which are used to spray others, including artistes on stage (and vice versa).

Do be sure to check out additional pop-ups like photo booths and food zones to complete the full festival experience! For those who value privacy, you may prefer to spend time at the VVIP Lounge, which offers a premium seating area for participants to dine in comfort.

If you’re ready to have a bombastic time, tickets will be made available for purchase on 2 May for UOB cardholders and 3 May for the general public.
