Popular ice cream parlour Tom’s Palette has issued an apology to its customers after being suspended by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) due to lapses in food safety practices. The suspension followed an SFA inspection which uncovered several issues regarding food handling and hygiene standards. Tom’s Palette’s management expressed regret for the situation, stating, “We’re sorry we messed up,” and pledged to immediately rectify the lapses. They reassured their customers that they were collaborating with the SFA to make the necessary improvements.

Although specific details of the violations have not been disclosed, the company assured the public that corrective measures are being put in place to prevent future issues. They also extended their gratitude to customers for their continued support and patience during this period.

Due to this sincere apology, their loyal customer has been very forgiving with one of them saying “I’ve never been to your store but I’m impressed with how you handled this…”. I personally think that the apology was well made and the humility was commendable. This incident could potentially improve their footfall instead of scare customers away.
