Singapore’s only Burger & Lobster outlet at Jewel Changi Airport will be permanently closing on 10 Mar. To bid customers farewell, it is holding a goodbye promotion that will run until its last day.

Until 10 Mar, customers can enjoy a Buy 1 Get 1 Free Lobster Roll (U.P. S$46) deal when they dine in. To redeem the free roll, diners need only say the secret code, “ROLL ON” to the waiter alongside their order of one Lobster Roll. The dish is said to be the most popular menu item, consisting of fresh chilled lobster meat stuffed into a buttery brioche bun.

This promotion is an extension of Burger & Lobster’s previous deal that originally ran from 18 to 25 Feb but was extended due to popular demand. Only walk-ins are accepted for the promotion, and it is available on a first come, first served basis. It’s also limited to 200 rolls per day, so move fast and arrive early!
The famous Western restaurant chain from London was established in 2011 and has more than 18 outlets worldwide. Its original Jewel branch is the only existing outlet in Singapore after the closure of the Raffles Hotel branch a few months ago. Unsurprisingly, the news of the upcoming closure devastated many of its Singaporean fans.
However, not everyone is mourning the loss. Many have criticised the restaurant for serving expensive fare, claiming that the prices were not worth it given that the food wasn’t special. Netizens have also speculated that Burger & Lobster closing has to do with the sky-high rental costs of setting up a restaurant in Jewel.
Regardless of what the reason may be, the news of Burger & Lobster closing in less than a week is sad for its fans. Be sure to drop by before 10 Mar to enjoy the goodbye promo before it’s gone for good!
