It has been confirmed. McDonald’s Singapore will be launching the first edition of the highly anticipated BTS TinyTan Happy Meal on 25 Sep at 11am. For each Happy Meal purchase, customers and BTS ARMYs alike can get a blind box, containing a mini-figurine of one of the members of the K-pop boy band.
RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook — there are 7 TinyTan toys you can collect, that each represents an animated version of the BTS members.
There are also 2 editions that will be released. The first, known as the Throwback Edition, sees the Korean boy band characters decked out in outfits they last wore during their collab with McDonald’s in 2021. Yes, if you still remember The BTS Meal that everyone was trying to get back then, with fans buying it just for the packaging, you can expect the same level of enthusiasm for this one. So, get ready to be quick if you want to collect as many of the BTS TinyTan toys as possible. The Throwback Edition will be available between 25 Sep – Oct 15.
The second edition, known as the Encore Edition, will be available from 16 Oct to 12 Nov. This set of toys will see the BTS TinyTan characters dressed in new McDonalds-themed outfits. Though some sharp-eyed ARMYs have already commented that the designs seem inspired by outfits worn by BTS during their ‘Mic Drop’ era.
Each blind box also comes with a QR code that takes you to an online TinyTan experience.
