6. Röstii

ramadan 2026 - Rostii

If you’re getting a little too bored of nasi ambeng for Iftar and want to switch things up, I’ve got just the spot. Röstii, part of The Straits Cattle Trading Company, has just opened a second outlet at 28 Kandahar Street, serving up crispy and fluffy rosti accompanied by a variety of delicious toppings.

Inspired by their neighbour who used to be a chef at Marche, the owners of this Muslim-owned establishment started this venture to make it accessible to the Muslim community. The menu features their vegan-friendly plain Classic Röstii (S$5) and 5 other mouth-watering selections. To take your experience up a notch, an assortment of 7 other toppings, including Smoked Beef Bacon (S$3), Sunny Side Up (S$1.50), and Beef Gochujang (S$8) are waiting to be selected to zhush up your own exquisite bowl of rosti.

ramadan 2026 - Rostii overview

Choose from the classic Smoked Salmon Röstii (S$12) or the Chicken Herb Sausage Röstii. For something light, the Tomato Napolitana Röstii (S$12) comes with tomato coulis and fluffy mini mozzarella balls. My top recommendation will be the Smoked Wagyu Brisket Röstii (S$15), which also happens to be the priciest item on the menu — but trust me, it’s worth every dollar!

ramadan 2026 - Rostii wagyu and rosti closeup

Every melt-in-your-mouth slice of brisket is drizzled with smoky hickory BBQ sauce for an immaculate combination. It comes with jalapeno slices for a touch of heat and sour cream. Prices here are relatively reasonable and portions are generous.

Do note that both outlets will be closed from 20 – 22 Mar 2026 for Hari Raya.
