Conveniently located right in the heart of Clementi Town, Clementi 448 Market & Food Centre is a bustling wet market and hawker centre that serves an array of local Singaporean fare. From 30 Mar to 29 Jun 2026, this beloved 46-year-old food centre is slated to be closed for repairs and renovation works.

This follows closely after the recent reopenings of Redhill Food Centre, Circuit Road Food Centre, and Chomp Chomp Food Centre in Jan 2026. Pasir Panjang Food Centre will also be back after a 3-month renovation on 1 Mar.

448 clementi hawker renovating - hawker front

Clementi 448 Market & Food Centre is not only home to around 52 wet market stalls, but also 51 food stalls. The hawker centre looks a little dated, with its dark brown and iconic bright green and orange tables lining both the outer perimeter and inner sections. Some areas can feel rather dark and stuffy, so hopefully the revamp will brighten the environment. With just over a month to go before the revamp, be sure to support your favourite stalls and feast to your heart’s (and tummy’s) content!

A pillar of this hawker centre for 13 years, Song Fish Soup isn’t just a local mainstay — it’s also my mum’s absolute favourite spot for a comforting bowl of fish soup. It earned its spot in the Michelin Bib Gourmand foodie hall of fame in 2024.

The menu features 11 options including Yuan Yang Bee Hoon (S$6.50/S$8.50), Fried Fish Bee Hoon (S$5.50/S$7.50), and Seafood Tom Yum Soup (S$6.50/S$8.50).

There’s also the popular Boon Kee Wanton Noodle with long queues that clear up relatively fast, all thanks to the efficient and speedy team at the stall. Noodle aficionados can enjoy a classic plate of Wanton Noodle (S$4/S$5), Dumpling Noodle (S$4/S$5), Soya Sauce Chicken Noodle (S$4/S$5), and Ipoh Hor Fun (S$4/S$5).

Plan your calendar and schedule well, and visit Clementi 448 Market & Food Centre for one last hurrah before the hawkers take a well-deserved short break.
