As a child, my sweet tooth was always craving for something sweet. I fondly remember binding on the Yupi strawberry kiss, Mars chocolate bars and White Rabbit candy. While I have since outgrown these sweet treats, a wave of nostalgia still washes over me whenever I think of them.

Recently, I learnt that White Rabbit now has a pop-up store at Plaza Singapura’s atrium open till 24 Nov. Eager for another taste of the familiar treat, I decided to visit and check out what they have in store.

Most of us might remember the brand for offering a chewy milk candy, but did you know that they also offer it in other flavours? They have chocolate, mango, ice cream and even… mustard?

For an adventurous foodie like myself, the wide range of flavours left me spoilt for choice. I decided to get the Create-your-own Candy Pack 100g (S$5) so that I could try out every flavour.
A favourite of mine was the osmanthus-flavoured sweet. The candy came with a strong floral taste that reminded me of my favourite Chagee Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea!
Another flavour that stood out was the mint candy. Packed in a light blue wrapper, I initially thought it was the original flavoured candy, so I was surprised when I sensed a refreshing minty taste on my tongue.
If you’re looking for something to keep you awake, they have the coffee-flavoured milk candies as well. Contrary to my expectations, the coffee candy wasn’t sweet at all. Instead, it came with a bitter coffee taste. I’d definitely recommend it to coffee lovers.

Several years back, White Rabbit also released a Milk Packet (S$2), but I never had the chance to try it till today. Recalling the sweetness of the original candy, I braced myself for an overwhelming sweetness, but was pleasantly surprised that the drink wasn’t too sweet.

In for more treats? White Rabbit has an ice cream collection with an assortment of flavours, including the Original Ice Cream Stick 65g (S$3.50), Chocolate Ice Cream Stick 65g (S$3.50) and the Seasalt Cheese Choc Cone (S$3.50).

Like other brands, White Rabbit has also expanded beyond F&B items to showcase a range of lifestyle products. Their collection is not limited to bags, but includes t-shirts, hand cream and even jewellery.

The milk candy brand has also jumped on the blind box trend, featuring a collection of Mystery Boxes (S$25 each) with 6 ordinary plushies and 1 secret design. Their plushies are scented with the fragrant White Rabbit candy!
If you’re looking for an adorable White Rabbit design to hang around, they sell Scented Pouches (S$18 each), too. Available in yellow, green and red, you can pick your favourite colour and attach it to your bag!
I left the White Rabbit pop-up store with a new impression of the White Rabbit candy. Who knew that such a simple milk candy could be transformed into ice cream, a milk drink, and even into cute plushies and lifestyle items?
I’m glad that my favourite childhood snack can now be appreciated in new forms other than the sweet candy, and look forward to seeing new innovations from the brand!
