What’s the cheapest you’ve paid for a buffet? For me, it’s slightly below S$20, so when I heard of the upcoming S$6.10 buffet at 777 Famous Coffeeshop Redhill, I was mind-blown.
The 90-minute free-flow buffet will be held on 9 Aug from 9am to 6pm, offering a spread of over 40 dishes across 4 participating stalls.
Wondering what dishes to go for? JKT Western offers 30 items, including a range of grilled sets, burgers and pastas. To maximise your money’s worth, try the Ribeye Steak (U.P. S$18.90), Smashed Beef Burger (U.P. S$10.90) and Truffle Cream Mushroom (U.P. S$10.90). This alone is already more than 6 times the cost of your S$6.10 buffet!
As a bak chor mee lover, I wouldn’t miss out on the Happy Bak Chor Mee (U.P. S$5.80) at Happy Noodles either. The Beef Brisket Noodles (U.P. S$8.90) is also a great option!
Meanwhile, Madas Rendang offers a range of nasi lemak items, including the Chicken Whole Leg Set (U.P. S$8.90) and the Banana Leaf Otah Set (U.P. S$5.90).
Finally, don’t forget to have some Char Kway Teow with Hum (S$6) and Hokkien Prawn Mee (S$6) at Ah Huat Hokkien Prawn Mee! They also offer either black or white Carrot Cake (S$5), but the dual option will be unavailable.
There’s also Fried Oyster (S$10), but it may require a longer preparation time. Fortunately, there’ll be more chefs arranged for all stalls that day to reduce the wait time.
I can already imagine the spread of food on my table. It’ll feel like more than just a celebration of Singapore’s 61st birthday — I can also celebrate my birthday way in advance!
