We thoroughly enjoyed their Hokkien mee when we headed down to give them a review. It came with 2 prawns, sotong, pork belly, and a dozen nuggets of pork lard. Their noodles had a strong alkaline taste that contrasted well with drips of citrusy calamansi, with the prawns being meticulously de-shelled.

The sambal chilli provided was a highlight of the dish. It was punchy, strong, and flaming hot. A very nice addition to the dish, and paired well with their generous serving of pork lard nuggets.

The fun isn’t over yet. From now until 31 Oct 2025, you can flash their promotional graphic to receive a 10% discount on their menu. Do note that this discount does not stack with the aforementioned 50% off Hokkien mee.

With this, you can enjoy their Ah Huat Fried Rice (S$6), which is a plate of soulful fried rice inspired by the owner’s childhood meals. It’s a truly special plate of fried rice not seen anywhere else, with each grain being painted with a rich reddish-brown hue.

It had the sweetness of char siew seasoning combined with the subtle smoky wok hei. We’ve truly never tasted anything like it.

After our visit, Ah Huat Hokkien Prawn Mee also added Char Kway Teow (S$6) and Fried Oyster (S$6) to their menu. Perhaps we might head down to try them out, too!
