Have you ever, for some reason, had the urge to dunk your kebab in your ramen Kobe-style? Or wished that your ramen came with more meat options other than cha shu (pork), chicken breast or even wagyu beef? Ajisen Tanjiro has got you covered with its unique kebab-inspired menu.

Located at Ang Mo Kio Hub, Ajisen Tanjiro recently opened on 6 Oct 2022. You might be thinking: “Oh, this is just a new ramen stall with another gimmick.” Actually, Ajisen Tanjiro is run by the same folks behind Ajisen Ramen, which has been around since 1968!

Ajisen Ramen started in Kumamoto, Japan and is now one of the largest ramen chains with over 700 restaurants operating worldwide, including 12 in Singapore under the Ajisen Ramen brand. Suffice to say, they know their ramen.

The Kebab Ramen (S$13++) has authentic kebab meat shavings straight from the doner kebab with its famous tonkotsu broth that is made from slow-cooking pork ribs. Other noodle options include Spicy Kebab Ramen (S$13++) and Kebab Dry Noodles (S$12++)

Diners who prefer rice can opt for their Kebab Donburi (S$10.90++) or Kebab Rice Set (S$12.90). There are also kebab side dishes such as Kebab Maki ($5.90++) and Kebab Tonpei (S$6.90++) should you want something light.

Each noodle item can be upgraded into a set for an additional S$4.90++. Set meals include either an Ice Lemon Tea or Houji Tea and one side dish. Some of the side dishes include Fried Tofu, Fish Cake, Cheese Meat Ball, Cuttlefish and Baby Octopus.

If kebab isn’t your thing, fret not as Ajisen Tanjiro also has its usual ramen offerings such as Ajisen Ramen (S$11++), Cha Shu Ramen (S$12++) and Pork Shabu Kimchi Ramen (S$12++). The next time you crave something out of the box for your ramen, consider Ajisen Tanjiro!
