Did you know that Suntec City Mall has a food court? Named Big Appetite Food Court, it’s located on the 3rd level in Tower 3. A post from Singapore Atrium Sale has recently announced that the food court will be ceasing operations by 1 May 2025, and that the last day to patronise the stalls there is 30 Apr 2025.

When the news was shared on social media, several netizens commented that they didn’t even know a food court existed at the location. Big Appetite also operates another food court at Funan.
As no explicit reason was given by Big Appetite’s management, possible theories on why the food court was closing ranged from rental costs being too high, to not enough foot traffic due to patrons not knowing about the food court’s existence, to management being hostile to its tenants. Of course, most of this is just speculation.

The food court is popular with office workers in the area as one of the “more affordable options”. In particular, several commenters mentioned that the claypot rice stall would have to move again. The stall in question, Hup Lee Claypot Rice, was formerly at Millenia Walk and occupied the Koufu there before it closed. Since the closure, it moved to Big Appetite in Suntec City, and has been there ever since under a new name.

Under new management, it was rebranded to Xin He Li, and remains one of the more popular options at the food court. Other recommended stalls include the yong tau foo stall and the Western food stall. If you’re a fan of either, be sure to drop by before the end of April to show your support before they close.
