We’ve heard of pricey yusheng at five-star hotels and luxury Chinese restaurants, but I wasn’t prepared to learn that an ultimate version exists in Singapore — priced at S$1,088,888 to be exact, and that’s before GST (gulp).

The Legendary Golden Dragon Yusheng 八面威风金龙鱼生 is part of CaterCo‘s Chinese New Year menu for clients such as large corporations that want to go big or go home for their historic festive celebrations. After all, this period is perfect for Singapore businesses to forge bonds between colleagues, express gratitude, and seize new opportunities.

Equivalent to the length of 10 football fields, the 1,088m Legendary Golden Dragon Yusheng is a majestic masterpiece that’s formed in a shape of a dragon from head to tail.

This isn’t just a dish; it’s a masterpiece that requires at least half a day of meticulous preparation. It’s entirely made with all the essential yusheng vegetables, topped with the finest ingredients namely smoked salmon, fresh salmon, and smoked duck. This exquisite piece of art also includes a 15ft (about 4.6m) Dragon Pearl worth S$10,000.

Because of its large scale, an advanced booking of at least a week is required. Beyond the booking, it is mandatory for their personnel to visit the location beforehand to assess the space and confirm its suitability for the setup.

If you aren’t planning on such a gigantic setup, it’s comforting to know that the Legendary Golden Dragon Yusheng also comes in smaller versions starting from S$188,888 for 188m, S$288,888 for 288m, and so on. And the best part? Each of them comes with the complimentary Dragon Pearl, too!

Besides that, CaterCo has other alternatives which are just as impressive like the Dragon Boat Yu Sheng (S$2,888 for 6m, S$3,888 for 8m, S$4,888 for 10m) that’s fitted with a 3D dragon head with yusheng placed atop the 3D body structure. There’s also the Majestic Dragon Yu Sheng, ranging from 8m (S$3,888) right up to 88m (S$68,888).

CaterCo also offers smaller, more accessible, yusheng platters like the 12-inch Prosperity Yusheng with Salmon that starts from S$48.80 and is perfect for 4 to 6 pax.

So, the real question is — is your team ready to make this record-breaking toss a reality?
