If there’s one thing we can never get enough of, it’s Korean BBQ spots. Yes, by now you’ve probably heard about a dozen of both established and new Korean BBQ restaurants popping up here and there, all of which offer the same variety of food. Chingu @ The Oval, a contemporary tabletop Korean BBQ, is an exception to the rule with its use of dry-aged and wet-aged meats.

Having recently opened its doors on 25 Nov 2022 at 7 The Oval, Chingu @ The Oval offers a modern take on Korean BBQ as reinterpreted by Seoul-born Chef Steven Choi. “Chingu” means “friends” in Korean, and its goal is to deliver share-worthy Korean cuisines. They also specialise in serving only premium meat cuts that are either dry-aged or wet-aged up to 14 days.
