Christmas is my favourite time of the year.
There’s just something about the festive twinkling lights along the street, tall decorated pine trees set up everywhere—and of course, the spirit of feasting, giving, and merry-making— that make this holiday such a joy to celebrate.
If you’re looking for gorgeous places to dine at this Christmas with your loved ones and family, we’ve got you covered. From luxurious hotels to rustic restaurants, here are 22 epic Christmas dinners & buffets for a merry festive celebration this 2019.
This season, InterContinental Singapore‘s Yuletide feasts are themed “A White Christmas”, inspired by the wintery Christmases of the Nordic region.
You can look forward to lavish epicurean feasts at Ash & Elm from 24 November – 30 December 2019. The highlight of the festive season is definitely its Christmas Day Champagne Brunch (S$148++ – S$188++ per adult). It features the finest produce like authentic Nordic cheeses, salmon, and vegetables, which are flown in directly from Iceland, Sweden, Finland, and Norway.
The Lobby Lounge‘s iconic Classic Afternoon Tea (S$88++ for two pax, inclusive of coffee and tea) will also feature adorable festive-themed treats, like a Christmas bauble-shaped Vanilla Mousse Financier that’s made of moist almond cake topped with vanilla mousse; Dark Chocolate Mousse with Lingonberry Confit, and more. Guests can also choose to top up S$30 for two flutes of champagne.
If you’re looking to celebrate the festive season with a cocktail or two, be sure to try InterContinental Singapore’s Idlewild. It’s a modern and retro-luxe cocktail bar that’s inspired by the golden age of air travel and dishes out decadent and world-class cocktails that are bound to impress you.
For Christmas, Idlewild has concocted a special cocktail titled Joyeux Noel (S$24++), which is a midwinter cocktail inspired by the classic Christmas eggnog. It’s made of spiced poached pear purée, tequila, pear liqueur, and egg yolk, and topped with salted caramel cream.
The Westin Singapore is located right in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District and its all-day dining venue, Seasonal Tastes, is situated on the 32nd floor of the hotel. Boasting unparalleled views of Marina Bay, this makes it a perfect place to have your Yuletide celebrations with your loved ones and friends.
Its Festive Buffet (S$68++ – S$108++, available on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for lunch and dinner) features all-time favourites like Rolled Turkey With Bread & Walnut Stuffing and Maple Truffle Glazed Gammon Ham, and an impressive spread of fresh seafood on ice, such as Canadian lobsters, prawns, crab claws, and more.
If that isn’t enough to entice you, its international buffet offerings are bound to make your mouth water—expect delectable dishes such as Wok Braised Crab with Singapore Chili Crab Sauce and Impossible Beef Lasagna, and finish off your meal with a sweet treat or two from its festive log cakes and desserts. Do note its buffet menu is subject to change.
Get 20% off The Westin Singapore’s Chocolate Whiskey & Chestnut Log Cake (S$65) when you order online from 25 Nov to 13 Dec using the promo code “Seth20”.
Andaz Singapore is one of my favourite hotels to go to because of its central location in Bugis, and its many dining options, such as Alley on 25, Mr Stork, and 665°F, which all never fail to disappoint.
This Christmas, all three of its dining establishments are presenting a decadent and exciting line-up of events, activities, and food. If you have a tacky Christmas sweater, be sure to wear it to Alley on 25’s Ugly Sweater Christmas Party (S$148++ – S$188++ for adults) where you’ll not only be treated to amazing Yuletide delights like Prime Rib Roast Beef and Glazed Kurobuta Ham, you might also walk away with some great prizes. Talk about a real celebration!
If you’d like a fixed menu, 665°F is offering a fantastic Three-Course Christmas Menu (S$158++ per pax) where you’ll get to enjoy decadent dishes like Winter Truffle Linguine, USDA Prime Striploin (200g), and Festive Christmas Cake. You’ll also get a glass of Delamotte champagne, perfect for a toast with your family and loved ones.
Pan Pacific Singapore‘s Yuletide offerings are as classic as they get.
Edge, which hosts the award-winning hotel’s international buffet line, has an extravagant Christmas spread which features traditional and well-loved classics like Pineapple & Honey-Glazed Bone-In Gammon Ham and Eight Spices Roasted Whole Turkey.
A range of seafood dishes complement the delicious line-up of festive treats, and you’ll be treated to fresh seafood on ice, such as Boston Lobster and Alaskan King Crab, as well as barbecued and cooked favourites like Citrus Marinated Whole Salmon Fillet, Dry Curry Crab with Deep-fried Golden Buns and Whisky Glazed Seafood Bisque.
All of Grand Hyatt Singapore‘s five restaurants have something grand to offer this Christmas. Be it global favourites at mezza9 or eclectic local dishes at StraitsKitchen, there’s something for everybody.
My personal favourite is Oasis Restaurant, where you can enjoy a poolside dinner while surrounded by lush greenery. Tuck in to Barbeque Roasted Whole Tom Turkey With Apples & Thyme Stuffing, Roasted Mottainai Lamb Leg With Pomegranate Glaze, and Char-grilled Grass-fed Beef while knocking back a glass of red wine. And if you’re a seafood lover, be sure to go for its Char Grilled Black Tiger Prawns.
If you’re looking for something out of the box, celebrate Christmas with an Italian touch at Grand Hyatt Singapore’s Pete’s Place, which serves up rustic and hearty Italian fare like Italian Roast Turkey With Lemon & Rosemary and Tiramisu.

PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road‘s Spice Brasserie just finished its renovations and sports brand-new decor, just in time for the Christmas festivities.

Plus, be sure to try festive cocktails from 1864, which have been specially prepared by Head Mixologist Michael Mendoza. Sip on Vogue, a blend of Grey Goose vodka, probiotic milk, and acai syrup, or Aged Cosmo, which is an adventurous mix of gin, Cointreau, cranberry and lemon juice, kaffir lime leaf and lemongrass aged in a bamboo stem for 24 hours.
