Do you remember singing “do re mi fa so la ti do” in music class? What seems like randomly strung syllables is now more than just a musical scale— this is what inspired Petaling Jaya’s latest cafe. Dou Remy by Wizards toyed with the word “dough”, in reference to the baked goods they sell and the aforementioned tones, to come up with the shop’s name.

They are the sister cafe to Wizards, who are known for their delicious brunch and dinner eats. Dou Remy will take on the role of serving artisanal bakes and coffee, placing itself in the list of aesthetically pleasing cafes in the Klang Valley. On 26 Jun to 2 Jul 2023, the eatery celebrated its soft opening with discount coupons and mystery gifts for 50 lucky customers.

Don’t worry, the eatery serves more than just flaky croissants and lattes, so you can definitely walk into their store with an empty stomach.

Dou Remy offers mains like their KFC Burger (is this name even allowed?) for RM26, made with a crispy chicken thigh sandwiched between a brioche bun, honey mustard slaw, and sweet potato fries. They also have Creamy Chicken Katsu Pasta (RM26) and Soft Shell Crab Linguine (RM30).

The cafe has meatless options as well, like the Portobello Pesto (RM26), a pesto fettuccine dish with portobello mushrooms, the Portobello & Avocado Sandwich (RM25), and the Roasted Pumpkin Salad (RM20).

Their drinks menu is pretty extensive, ranging from specialty coffees and teas to freshly pressed juice and mocktails. Coffee connoisseurs should check out their Orange Honey Latte (RM12) and Black Sugar Latter (RM12). If you’re planning on skipping the caffeine, try their rich Ayame Matcha Latte (RM13), Orange Tomato Spinach Juice (RM15), or refreshing Yuzu Iced Tea (RM16).

As their slogan goes, their food and drinks are bound to be do, remy, fa, so good!
