Famous Face Ban Mian with delicious bowls of ban mian opens new outlet at Bedok Reservoir

Face Ban Mian has made a name of its own with its modern presence in the traditional ban mian scene. Established about 10 years ago as a singular standalone hawker stall in Ang Mo Kio, they have now expanded their business to more than 10 stalls. Their newest opening is at Nam Wah Coffeeshop, located at 631 Bedok Reservoir Road.

Face Ban Mian has a myriad of dishes ranging from the traditional soup or dry versions of ban mian to tom yum and even chicken gyozas! According to many netizens, their bowls of ban mian tastes differently from the conventional version. I can certainly agree from my experience with Face Ban Mian!

In the Original Soup Ban Mian (S$4.50), you will receive pork balls that are marinated and minced nicely, and cooked upon order. The noodles are springy and has a right amount of softness, and are topped off with fried ikan billis, cabbage and other condiments.

More savoury options for those who divert away from the soupy version include Pork Belly Dry Noodles (S$4.60). With the crowd favourite ingredient, pork belly, Face Ban Mian’s protein option is cut thinly like shabu shabu in Japanese restaurants. Not overly fatty (just like how I like it), it is served slightly blanched to be complemented with the soy-sauce coated noodles.

Find the prices slightly pricey? Not to worry, Face Ban Mian has set value options that are worth every penny.

For S$6.30, you’ll be able to get bowl of slurpy Original You Mian Soup with 3 pieces of fried gyoza. Pay S$2.50 more and you’ll be able to enjoy chicken karaage instead!

Well, I guess Face Ban Mian is going to be a common face in the food industry now. Don’t mind me, just had to add that pun in!
