I’m pretty sure I’m not the only person who’s noticed the trend of local artistes dipping their toes—or hands, in this case—into the word of F&B. Joining the lineup including Pierre Png and Benjamin Tan, is none other than Fann Wong, undoubtedly one of Singapore’s most popular Mediacorp actresses.

Fann Wong’s baking hobby began, like most of us, during Circuit Breaker. The actress has since then taken that hobby up another notch with Fanntasy, her brand new online baking business. There are only two items on her menu now—a Musang King Gula Melaka Tart (S$68), along with a Signature Valrhona Chocolate Tart (S$58), both inspired by her husband and son, who love chocolate and durian.

The Musang King Gula Melaka Tart will be perfect for durian lovers—think of a rich butter sable tart base topped with rich and pulpy Musang King and homemade sweet gula melaka sauce. Fann Wong then elevates this decadent creation with a shower of desiccated coconut for extra flavour.

The next one sounds absolutely sinful and delicious, and I’m here for it. Think of luscious 70% dark Valrhona chocolate cremeux and almond sponge atop a tantalising chocolate sable base and topped with gold dust. There are few things I will love unequivocally, and a chocolate-on-chocolate combination is one of them.

The early bird gets the worm, and the fastest fingers will get Fann Wong’s delicious tarts—Fanntasy launches on 13 October 2021 at 9.29am, with only 1000 tarts available for the initial launch. These bakes will only be available on her website, so make sure you remember to set calendar reminders to snag one of these decadent desserts.
