It looks like the famous Feng Zhen Lor Mee that’s originally located in Taman Jurong has no plans of slowing down. The stall which was recently awarded the Michelin Plate in 2021 has just opened its fourth outlet to the people of Ang Mo Kio at Blk 347 on 27 August 2022, just three months after launching its third branch in Yishun.

With a viscous and robust-tasting gravy coupled with traditional yellow flat noodles, this popular Hokkien dish is often seen served with fried battered fish at other lor mee stalls in Singapore. The version here uses fried batang fish instead, which is brought in fresh everyday. This fish is not only known to be moist and clean tasting, but it’s also high in protein and omega-3 fatty acids— good news for health enthusiasts.

There are two types of lor mee that’s served over here. The Traditional Lor Mee (S$4 for small, S$6 for large) comes with fried batang fish, pork belly slices, fried juicy meatballs, tender fishcake, braised egg and noodles slathered in their secret family recipe gravy.

If you’re not a meat-lover, they also offer the Fish Lor Mee (S$6 for small, S$8 for large) which is not often seen at other lor mee stalls. It’s loaded with heaps of tender fried batang fish— simply irresistible!

For those who stay in the northern region of Singapore, there’s finally another spot at Ang Mo Kio where you can get your hands on their heartwarming bowls of lor mee. I can foresee loads of people flocking to their newest stall, so be prepared to queue!
