If you’re looking to help out with the Australian bushfires in a more practical way, pay Australian restaurant-bar The Lokal a visit on 2 February 2020. They’re hosting a Fish & Chips Night with Happy Hour drinks all night long to contribute to the Australian bushfire relief efforts.
What better way to extend a helping hand than through a hearty plate of fish & chips?
The Lokal is a quaint little restaurant-bar nestled in the heart of Outram. They pride themselves on their house-made comfort food, with an intimate setting and friendly chefs.
Apart from Fish & Chips Night, Aussie Chef Darren will also be serving a brunch special of Australian Sausage Rolls in addition to the brunch menu.
All proceeds from both events will go to the NSW Rural Fire Service and the Australian Red Cross.
The NSW Rural Fire Service is a volunteer-based firefighting agency and statutory body of the Government of New South Wales. Imagine assisting people who have sacrificed so much, just volunteering to put out the raging fires—I know I would feel a sense of fulfilment.
The Australian Red Cross is a humanitarian aid and community services charity in Australia and an auxiliary to the government. I’m sure that the affected communities will appreciate as much help as they can get.
The Lokal’s Fish & Chips Night will be in full swing from 5.30pm to 10pm. You’re welcome to bring friends or your family—let’s spread awareness and help to aid Australia’s relief efforts.
Let’s band together to help save the planet, starting with a plate of good ol’ fish and chips.
