Frustrated at the price surge at various supermarkets? Well, FairPrice has got your back. From 4 March 2022, members of the public (you) get to enjoy a 5% discount off 100 daily staples like rice, oil and vegetables every Friday at all FairPrice supermarkets and hypermarkets.

Is there a catch? Well, no, not really. This is an initiative by FairPrice Group’s Stretch Your Dollar programme— an initiative to help consumers ‘save when shopping’ especially with the rising cost of living that’s evident today.

Additionally, if you’re a Pioneer Generation Cardholder, you get to enjoy a 3% Pioneer discount every Monday and Wednesday. Senior shoppers aged 60 years and above will also get to enjoy the 2% Seniors discount every Tuesday. Merdeka Generation, you’re not forgotten, you also get to enjoy a 3% discount every Wednesday

If you’re holding on to a CHAS Blue Card, you get to enjoy a 3% discount every Thursday

Other running initiatives by FairPrice Group’s Stretch Your Dollar Programme also include the reduction and hold of prices of ‘low in sugar’, ‘zero sugar’, and ‘zero milk’ coffee and tea at over 80 Kopitiam and NTUC Foodfare outlets at S$0.90 till the end of 2022.

If you carry a ComCare Card, you’ll be glad to know that the Rice Garden initiative will be seeing an expansion of 40 stalls by the end of 2022. This means you can enjoy subsidised meals at more locations!

A new programme providing free meals for the needy and a budget meal initiative at various Kopitiam and Foodfare outlets will also be launched in the second half of the year.
