In case you missed it, Shaw Theatres at Jem just opened last week. To celebrate this occasion, the cinema held free movie screenings, offering 500 pairs of movie tickets for redemption. But the celebrations did not stop there, as the cinema is now offering free popcorn to visitors daily from 13 to 19 Nov.
With a purchase of any pair of movie tickets, you will be able to redeem a Free Regular Popcorn Combo, which includes popcorn and a drink. You simply have to purchase your tickets at the box office of Shaw Theatres Jem and make the redemption on the same day. Purchases made online or at other locations are not valid.
Also note that this Open House promotion is limited to the first 200 redemptions each day, so make sure to be early if you want to snag your free popcorn. A couple of new movies you can watch at Shaw are ‘Predator: Badlands’, starring Elle Fanning, and ‘The Running Man’, starring Glen Powell. Both seem to promise an action-packed, fun time, so why not grab a friend and watch one of these new movies with some free popcorn?
Shaw Theatres Jem officially opened on 10 Nov and marks the return of Shaw Theatres to Jurong East after their cinema at JCube closed 2 years ago. The mall, which previously housed an IMAX theatre, closed in 2023 for redevelopment.
Shaw Theatres has mentioned that the new Jem theatre will eventually have IMAX screens, but will share more updates about that at a later stage. This is a win for the westies, as they will soon have access to an IMAX experience close to their homes again. I can’t wait to check it out soon and see how it compares to my favourite Shaw Theatres Lido!
