As a kid, I always wanted a pet, but the closest I ever got my hands on was one which I could easily fit onto my palm—the Tamagotchi. I remember attending to my virtual pet every time the device beeped. Every day, I would feed, bathe and play with it just like I would a real one.
After making its comeback last year in colour after 23 years, Bandai is once again here to tickle our fancy with their latest collaboration with Sanrio. Introducing, the Hello Kitty Tamagotchi.
Having problems raising your Tamagotchi character on your own? Worry not, as you will now have the help of Hello Kitty. Not only will she feed your pet with her favourite food, milk and apple pie, your trusty assistant will also clean up whenever your pet gets messy.
This Hello Kitty Tamagotchi not only allows you to raise your virtual pet from an egg to adulthood, it also features two fun mini-games—the piano and balloon game—to entertain you while your pet rests and recuperates.
Depending on how you (and of course, Hello Kitty) raise your Tamagotchi, it will grow into one of the seven adults, or even become special characters if they’ve had extra care.
Available in two distinctly different designs, the Hello Kitty Tamagotchi will be released on 1 December 2020 at US$19.99 (approx. S$27.25).
Currently, pre-orders on Amazon are already out of stock, so it seems like all you Kitty and Tamagotchi fans will have to wait until the end of 2020 to get your hands on these little eggs of joy.
