The Springleaf vicinity has welcomed another eatery: Hjh Lyn Sharin Cafe. The Muslim-owned cafe opened along Springside Walk on 3 June 2022, serving up a delightful array of classic Malay dishes.
Hjh Lyn Sharin Cafe was formerly known as Hjh Lyn Sharin Kitchen, and was previously a smaller coffeeshop stall along Geylang Road. Now, they’ve relocated further up North, and the rebranded eatery boasts a bigger space with comfortable indoor seating areas and the same affordable, traditional Malay food that they sold at their former stall.
Look forward to enjoying some of Hjh Lyn Sharin Cafe’s traditional Malay fare, like their Lontong, Mee Rebus, Mee Siam and Nasi Lemak, all priced affordably at S$4 each.
Other dishes include their Nasi Sambal Goreng (from S$6.50) and Nasi Ambeng (from S$8.50). They even have Oxtail Soup, available for S$8.
If you prefer to build your own plate of rice and pick your own ingredients, you can do so too. Select from a variety of Side Dishes (S$1 – S$2) and Vegetable Dishes (S$1.50 – S$3) to add on to a plate of White Rice (S$1) for a simple yet comforting and delicious meal. The offerings include fried eggs, hot dogs and fried chicken wings.
You can also enjoy a nostalgic Singaporean Breakfast Toast Set (S$3.50), consisting of toast, two soft-boiled eggs and a hot drink.
Despite having only recently opened, Hjh Lyn Sharin Cafe has already seen good traffic, with plenty of diners filling their seats for lunch.
With their affordable, tantalising Malay dishes and welcoming atmosphere, I can’t wait to grab a bite at this humble stall soon when I’m in the Springleaf area.
