Kopitiams are undoubtedly the best places to go makan. For foodies in JB, I’m thrilled to share that Huai Heong Kopi, located in Sunway City Iskandar Puteri, has just opened its doors to everyone.

Not only do they specialise in Ipoh-style food, but Huai Heong Kopi also serves Asian food, making this kopitiam one of a kind. With an interior that’s spacious and retro-themed, it will surely remind you of the old-school coffee shops.

Start off your day with some kopitiam staples. Sample the timeless Kaya and Butter Toast or the Kaya and Butter Steamed Bun. Be sure to pair them with Half-Boiled Eggs, which you can enjoy as they double as a dip for your bread, adding a delightful burst of flavour to your meal.

You can’t go wrong with the timeless Malaysian favourite, Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken. This classic dish includes aromatic coconut-infused rice, sambal, crunchy fried anchovies, roasted peanuts, cooling cucumber slices, a hard-boiled egg, and fried chicken.

Be sure to sample Huai Heong Kopi’s selection of Asian dishes as well. Indulge in Pad Thai, a stir-fried rice noodle dish originating from Thailand or opt for the Thai Style Krapow Minced Chicken Rice. There’s also the Gong Bao Chicken with Rice, more commonly known as Kung Pao Chicken. This Chinese dish is well known for its balance of savoury and spicy flavours and contrasting textures, making it a favourite for many.

Don’t forget to order drinks as well. Among the drinks you can choose from are Three Layer Milk Tea, Kopi O and Butter, Ice Lemon Tea, and more! They only use pure white coffee beans for all their coffees, which gives it the Ipoh-style touch that many patrons love.
